Free 50 MB Power Data bundle Promotion – 19th April 2014

1. This promotional bundle is available for Prepaid, uChoose and Top Up customers only. This bundle is not available for Postpaid customers.

2. The bundle is available free of charge from 00:00 hrs to 23:59 hrs on 19th April 2014 only

3. This bundle cannot be purchased between 18:00 to 21:00 hours on any day.

4. This bundle gives 50MB of data to use for 60 mins from the time of activation.

5. This bundle does not have an out-of-bundle rate and any usage after the bundle is depleted will revert back to the applicable data rate.

6. Any unused MB’s post 60 minutes after activation will be forfeited

7. The free bundle is available for purchase via

     a. MyPhone (*111#)

8. You can check your bundle balance via

    a. My Phone (*111#)

    b. SMS

    c. Vodacom online portal and mobile site

    d. My Vodacom app

    e. Customer care (Dial 082 111)

9. Customers can activate multiple Power Data bundles

10. If customers activate multiple Power Data bundles of the same type then the bundle amounts will get added up and validity of the total amount will be the validity of the last bundle purchased

11. Once a bundle is activated, a customer cannot cancel it

12. If a prepaid or top up customer converts to Postpaid, any existing bundles will be forfeited.

13. If a customer number is deactivated from the network, any existing bundles will be forfeited.

14. Data transfer rates are not guaranteed and are dependent on network availability.

15. Utilisation of data is billed in units, where each unit equals 1 byte.

16. Bundles and tariffs only apply to standard APNs.

17. The bundles may not be used for commercial purposes. Any use of this offer outside of what is considered reasonable for private, non- commercial use, and in instances through mechanisms and means not intended for personal use or the anticipated purpose of the offer, will be considered as abuse.

18. Data Fair Usage Policy

This promotion is subject to a fair usage policy. Vodacom reserves the right to apply measures to ensure that your actions do not negatively impact the experience of other customers or sustainability of the service. These measures are determined at Vodacom’s sole discretion

19. Vodacom reserves the right to suspend the service in the event of suspected abuse where non-compliant devices as specified by the regulating body ICASA are being used on the Vodacom network.

20. Vodacom reserves the right to cancel, terminate or alter the promotion at any time without notice and shall not be liable for any claims whatsoever as a result of such cancellation, termination, or alteration.

21. The Network, electronic and/or telecommunication systems and/or technology may temporarily fail, malfunction, provide limited or no coverage, the service may be subject to  reception or other transmission malfunctions, failures or errors beyond Vodacom’s control; and whilst Vodacom will use its best efforts to secure the uninterrupted supply of the Service and will use reasonable endeavours to make the Service available to the Customer at all times, Vodacom does not guarantee that there will be no interruptions or periods of unavailability, nor is any level of availability warranted.
